This a good deal?

Just wondering what you guys thought... I'm gonna be buying this as soon as the next paycheck comes in the mail. An A5, flatline barrel, stock (not sure what type), a camo JT mask, 20oz. CO2 tank, 1 Red Dot sight (again, not sure what type), and a camo hopper cover, all for $235.

Re: This a good deal?

Hard to say - are the items used or new? If used, are they in good condition? The type of stock & red dot can make a big difference in price. Too many variables to give a good answer.

Re: This a good deal?

Sounds good. One word of caution.......people either love or hate the flatline barrel so please do take the time to familiarize yourself with the threads on the site concerning proper use of the flatty. I'd suggest maybe an Apex ready Lapco Bigshot and Apex tip.

Re: This a good deal?

I've played with my buddy's a5 with a flatline and loved it. I know it's 'controversial' but it's always worked well for me, which is why I seeked out a seller with one. All the goods are lightly used, by the way. Didn't put that in my original post.

If its in good shape, it aint a bad deal. I dont think your gonna go wrong on that deal if its in good shape.

I think this is a good deal. If you dont like flatline, just resell it on craigslist or ebay and keep the rest of the stuff.

Re: This a good deal?

I would jump on that deal ASAP. Once you get it, though, I advise you to sell the mask and CO2 tank, and buy yourself a good mask and invest in HPA.

Re: This a good deal?

I'm pretty dang new to the whole paintball thing... what's HPA, and what makes it better than CO2? Cost to refil, cost to buy, etc. Thanks for all the help in advance guys/gals.

You may want to look around the forum to read up on this subject, but in a nutshell HPA (High pressure air) is more consitent than CO2, and performs better in colder temps. HPA is also not as harsh on the internals of your marker as CO2, which is in liquid form. Same cost to refil usually. HPA tanks are more expensive though. Go with air, you wont regret it. Get the biggest tank you can carry on your pack comfortably, and get a remote line.
