Jammed A5???

What's up OG,
So I've got this deal that I am in the middle of. I am trading a gun for an A5 and I hear back from the guy last night saying "Hey man, I played on sunday and I fell on the gun and jammed it up really bad, I'll fix it and ship it this friday." Now, I understand stuff happens, so I prod a little. In a response to "how bad's the jam?" I get "Well, I fell on it, broke the stock and lost the spring and pin." I told him I like fixing stuff, I'm going to replace internals, and I don't care about the condition, just send it. I got nothing back.

So, all this sounds legit, don't worry, he's shipping first. Well, I only bring this up because this deal is over a week old now. It was going to be a quick ship, track, recieve, and then I ship. The trade is in his favor (product wise) and mine (want wise) and he contacted me off of my post. Work, Trip, and now a Jam has delayed this thing and I ask if it sounds probable or not.

I've never seen an A5 "jam". A "jam" is not breaking the crap out of a gun. I've busted butt playing and done no damage to my gun. What height do you fall from to break a Car-Stock clean, cause the spring to shoot out, losing it and the pin? After that type fall, are you still alive? Idk, this isn't on this board but I'm just getting aggrivated because this is going on so long.

Thoughts?

Re: Jammed A5???

"Jammed?" As in "I fell on the gun an jammed the barrel into the mud and now it has mud up inside the barrel?" I've never heard of an A5 "jamming" before either, but if the spring and pin are gone that's not really a big deal. Just order replacements from Tippmann Parts.

I've got to say though, if he hasn't shipped yet, I'd go another direction. I believe in shipping when you say you're going to ship because that's where the trust comes from.

nah.... forget that one and get one someplace else.

Re: Jammed A5???

Actually a teammate of mines broke this weekend when he was playing in the exact same way. He didn't even fall on it. It actually broke the back pins in half and broke off the pieces of the stock. Those Plastic CAR stocks are crap buy one with the metal buffer tube.

Re: Jammed A5???

I say go with another deal. I've had issues with things like that before and just went to another seller/buyer.

Don't pass up on a deal if it comes by.

Yeah definetly to many things already going the wrong direction. Transactions are supposed to be smooth, if not definetly turn around.

Re: Jammed A5???

Makes me worried him saying he "jammed" an A5. I have no idea how you jam an A5 with just playing with it. If you assembled it incorrectly ok, but not while playing.

Do you mind if I ask what you are trading?

Re: Jammed A5???

" sorry but when I was playing yesterday.... I tripped over a twig [yes I've seen it happen] and jammed the A-5 between a fallen tree and when the sun dont shine...and the stock just like fell off." hehe

Cheep stocks can have that effect, as well the push pins could of broken off as well. I would ask for a cheeper selling price for damaged goods, or look someplace else.

Re: Jammed A5???

Well anything can happen and yes you can break stocks and stuff not a problem but the actual marker jamming? I have never heard of it, since there is nothing that can jam since you can take the marker apart and replace whatever needs to be replaced.

Re: Jammed A5???

I dont doubt stuff can tear up, my brother breaks what he touches, nearly everything he touches, so yeah I'm a believer in breaks.

A break and a jam are different

The bigger picture is this is just delay after delay. I'm not shipping first, so this isn't really a scam or burning, but yeah, it's just taking forever so things just start to not add up.
