| Returned my A-5 Today Well, after a week of trying everything from CO2 to HPA, disassembling, cleaning, oiling, and various types of paintballs I returned my A-5 Stealth. Shots were curving left and right (and up and down), and 1 of every 10 balls were chopping. I also noticed my FPS on CO2 was 260 max and on HPA the best I could get was 170 FPS. I'm leary about buying another A-5. Should there be that big of a difference between CO2 and HPA in terms of velocity? |

| Re: Returned my A-5 Today Very well put Marmaduke, I agree totally. Alot of people are getting upped A5s now first without any experience with the A5. Each upgrade that you do could possibly hamper the performance of your marker. I myself do one upgrade at a time, install it then test it out. It takes longer but when you run into a case like BMan's above, then you need to get back to stock to find out what a problem is sometimes.

| Re: Returned my A-5 Today The A5 stealth is top of the line and comes with all the best upgrades Tippmann can offer in a stock package. I for one have an A5 Stealth. IT's working okay and fine with shots going straight and a dead accurate. The only slight problem would the velocity not going up higher than 265 fps. I still love my Stealth but I may want to give it away ![]() |

A flatline performs at it's best at that fps...a between 260-275 or so, any faster and you'll only get wil curve shots.

I know. But I'm saying just so that it's only a slight problem. |

| Re: Returned my A-5 Today I had a CAR stock on my 98C that caused low fps too...I got a maddmann spring kit to solve it, but I've read that putting a BB in followed by the drive pin and spring will help (no actuall experience with this).

| Re: Returned my A-5 Today I agree w/ Marmaduke. Buy a base model and put on the accessories that u like. No sense in paying someone to upgrade your marker to your liking. There a pieces in the kit that you may not like. This way you can build it as you go. There also may be things that do not work as good as others. I have about $400-500 ea. in the way I have both of mine and they are built to my liking not somebody elses. I myself do not like the flatline because of it being so picky about paint. I have an apex and a J&J. Search through the forums and you will find a lot of good info to help you choose the right accessories for you. What I like, you may not. A lot of the internal mods (polishing and trigger work) are good for everybody. Barrels, scopes, mounts, rails, and other stuff will be to you liking. |
