| Re: Hello Again Everyone There are all sorts of legal ramifications of making a marker quiter bu silencing the report. This is generally called a "silencer" and they are illegal in most countries. Now I know what's you're thinking, it's a paintball gun, not a real gun! Wrong-o. I'm not going to go into the marker/gun debate here, though I'm surprised it hasn't come up elsewhere in this forum. I may even start a thread just to stir things up. Regardless, your marker is generally considered a gun and affixing a device to reduce noise is not legal. That being said there was a highly regarded member of the old A5OG who now frequents a different forum supporting a major paintball retailerr/manufacturer that he works for. Anyway, said person did manage to "silence" his flatline by having a custom shroud made (based on the 98C Flatline) that extended the barrel about 3 inches inside the shroud. That three inches was significantly ported on all sides and his shroud was packed with insulation. This was VERY effective in quieting the flatline. So much so that it sounded more like a closed-bolt marker than any other Tippmann and most Angels... The problem with the setup is that it was a one-off, and apparently could not be duplicated because of alignment issues and manufacturing tolerances from Tippmann.
