Have you looked at the Shocktech?

May not be the best looking drop out there, but it's the simplest installation for the A5. I know a couple of guys with them and they seem to be a solid peice.

Re: My A-5 is too long

I like my Lapco dropforward. And, it's adjustable so you adjust it to three different points for your desired length. It's really nice. Check it out here.

Re: My A-5 is too long

have you tried putting the tank vertical off the tombstone, that considerably makes it shorter and easier for speedball

I don't think that a 68/45 would fit there. And it would make the marker VERY tall so snake crawling would be difficult. But it would make it very tight.

Re: My A-5 is too long

Shocktech now makes a relocator bar that is the clasic style drop but has the back part that will fit into the A5 grip. The only advantage over the regular A5 relocator I feel is that you can then put any type on/off on the rail. I'd link you but can't get to the Shocktech site from work. Basically combine this and this. I had the original one. It's a great product but just decided I prefer playing without the drop.

***edit*** here's the link to the one I was describing.

old pic of my marker...

Re: My A-5 is too long

you may try the "power angle" from FBM with or without a drop-forward. Angles the tank so that is is resting on your shoulder, rather than against it. Shortened my A-5 and steadied my shot. I think that drops just make something you have to rest your arm against, making you a wider target. Here is the FBM link: http://www.fireballmountain.com/Merc...ode=CustAccess

Enjoy!

Re: My A-5 is too long

I use a lapco grip adapter, custom products micro razor drop and custom products on/off asa and the same size tank as you. With the grip adapter and drop i got about 1.75 inches down and a little over 2 inches forward. made for a nice tight setup when i used a 12 inch barrel.

Re: My A-5 is too long

Have you thought about reversing the tank? Basically mounting it forward as opposed to backward?
