Reverse Tank Question

Hey all, I've spent hours on here every day for the last week and a bit soaking up all the useful knowledge floating around. I'm lucky to have found such a helpful forum heh.

Anyways, I am just getting into paintballing and bought myself an A-5 with the RT and love it. I've read so much here that I'm quite confident my next set of upgrades will be the Smart Parts 16" Linear Barrel and G36 stock (ohh the sexy G36. hehe). I'd also like to reverse my tank as opposed to a remote line. I've read all the threads on this topic, but me being a bit of a noob regarding paintball guns and their workings, I was wondering if you guys/gals could help me out.

Will this part allow me to reverse my tank or do I need to buy something extra? or something else entirely?

CanadianPaintball.com ASA's and Drop Forwards

It's the sixth product from the top, the Shocktech Pro Bottomline Combo. (also see here: PRO BOTTOMLINE COMBO)

I'm using a 20oz CO2 tank and I'd also really love to keep my front grip on the A-5. Hopefully the reversed tank won't conflict with it?

As of now my A5 is completely stock aside from the RT. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Trevor.

Re: Reverse Tank Question

That'll work, but you'll also need this.

Re: Reverse Tank Question

Pizzaluvr is correct, you will need the combination due (1) the angle of the grip bottom, and (2) because there are no attachment points under the grip (only on the side).

Re: Reverse Tank Question

Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place. Remember, washer first then o-ring...the tomstone holds them in place. If you don't know what I'm talking about you soon will.

Everyone is correct in saying it'd work, but when you have it reversed the air line would be pointing out toward the back of the marker. You would have to get two 90 degree fittings to get it facing the proper way. If you really want to do this I'd get an asa that has a side entrance for the air, there's a few versions on the Canadian Paintball site. New Designz EZ-Turn Ultra Light On/Off, Shocktech On/Off, Trinity EASY On-Off with Degas System or the Trinity unimount. All of these would require the grip block as well. The Shocktech on/off would need this.

Re: Reverse Tank Question

Thanks for the replies guys. Is it odd that I've read that exact first-timer reply a few times now Rifle? haha. Thanks for the info too, I get what you mean about a side entrance being easier. From what I gather, I should be good-to-go with the following parts;

- Shocktech Tippmann Grip Mount
- Shocktech On/Off (with side entrance)

Does anyone know if this will clear my front grip?

Thanks for all of your help!

Here are a few pics for ya...

Parts list

A-5 Bottom Line Mount LAPCO Paintball

Custom Products Rail Drop Forward - Black at ActionVillage.com : Paintball

It's the forum moto so I'm sure you'll see it around from time to time. If you see a new member don't be afraid to use it. Don't forget to post some pics when you've got your setup done.

Re: Reverse Tank Question

I have been think about doing this also just to keep things more compact (Not crazy about remotes) I have been told it makes it more nose heavy. Any other impacts that anyone knows of ? Was just told about this website over the weekend, Good Info.
