about a stabalizer!

i just got a palmers stabalizer, when i put my tank in and shot it the gauge kept reading 1200psi, should it say that or should it read around 600-700psi? and i need to know how to adjust the psi, i know its the screw on the bottom but which way to i turn it to have less output pressure?

Re: about a stabalizer!

i have mine at about 650 to turn it down its counter clock wise i believe you have to shoot a few times for the presure to re stabilize you just adjust the pressure untell you reach desired velocity below 300 fps

Re: about a stabalizer!

actually, mine reads somewhat similar! Only when i shoot it will show the drop to the designated setting! for example. My output of the tank to the reg is about 900. Wheni set it down to supposedly 500, i can only see the reading at 500 when its being fired! I am using a inline by the way! Is this how its suppose to work?

Re: about a stabalizer!

I found the easiest wa to adjust the stab is this:
Adjust the FVA or RVA (whichever you have) all the way out so your velocity is maxed. Adjust your stab until it chronos at 325-345. On mine about 650psi. Then use your velocity adjuster to tweek it in. To adjust the stab, counter clockwise lowers the pressure, clockwise raises it.

Re: about a stabalizer!

My question basically is how to read the gauge? is it showing the output of the tank or the output into the marker! What i notice is that only when i shoot will i see the output of the reg! it will read the outpu tof the tank at constant state!

Re: about a stabalizer!

any gauge on the stab ?
the reg on ur tank still delivering about 800-900 PSI

only a gauge mounted on the stab could read the output pressure of it.

It should be reading the input to the marker. Adjust the screw until it is reading what you need it to. It should also be noted that for those gauges to be somewhat accurate, you need to use one that is double where you want it to be set to, so that the desired setting is in the middle.

Re: about a stabalizer!

Looks like i am unable to tune it! it seems to read the max output of my Tank.

My config for the inline as follows. INPUT from CP ON/OFF via steel breaded hose into the top of my reg. THe the output at the side of the reg going through an s joint made out of 2 90 degree elbows into the ASA adapter right under the tombstone!

My reading is at 1200 psi for 20 oz co2
