Repainting my A5

ok so my A5's paint is pretty bad now. I've got a first gen A5 that was painted not powder coated... I'd either want it prefer to have it powder coated, but a darker camo scheme would not be bad I suppose... anyone know where I can have this done that won't wear off after a year?

Re: Repainting my A5

You can do it your self and bake on the paint at your house for a strong paintjob, not as strong as powder coating but close. Just paint it and bake it at 350 for like 5 minutes, or at 120 for 2 hours.

Re: Repainting my A5

You might also consider applying 3M type vinyl to the marker for an option. There are several types and designs including all of the most recent camoflague patterns. I am getting some material in the mail this week to do a 98c for my nephew. I'll post the results.

Of course, I'm sure that you know the preparation is most of the job doing a re-paint. Have fun sanding.

Re: Repainting my A5

As you all know I have a 1st gen A-5. I stripped it down and re- painted it w/ enamel paint. I am going to a 24 hr. scenario this coming weekend. When I come back I am going to re- strip whats left of the paint job I put on it. Then I am going to get it powder coated and be done w/ the paint job thing. I'll post the results. I will probably do the same scheme I did that you saw in the A-5 gallery under Gwaltinator's piece.
