Don't Know Just a few questions...

Hey guys I'm pretty new here, i just had a few questions that i was hoping to get answered. I tried to find as many asnwers as i could using the search button, so sorry if i ask another question. here goes guys;

1. Is this a folding AK stock because i think it is but the lady at the paintball store told me it wasnt. http://ultimatepaintballgear.biz/cat..._AK47_Fold.jpg

2. When you buy the apex barrel (which comes with the barrel and tip) is the tip removable, i read many posts talking about barrels to but it on, but once again that lady at the store said it didnt come off. Is this true?

3. How do I give rep?

4. I have never taken apart my tombstone, though ive removed it from the main gun body (to polish the internals). Is it possible to put an ASA adapter inside the tombstone instead of having the metal wire thingy (that lady told me it wasnt)

5. I was wondering why anyone would use anyother stock accept the collapsable stock, which has so many positions. I can understand for looks, but functionality? i dont want to use another collapsible stock because i have one on my 98, but i dont see anyother one makeing sense. (also would a folding ak stock fold if you had a shroud?

6. if i got all new internals what difference would i notice.

I think thats all guys thanks for your help sorry if i repeated any posts

That's what is is known as. The lady, I think, is wrong on this one.

To the best of my knowledge, it is quite removable - hence the number of people using the PPS Apex adapter to place Apex tips on non-Apex barrels. However - there may be a nuance here I don't understand as I'm not an Apex owner (or fan) myself, so I'll leave it to someone more experienced with the Apex to confirm this.

See that little button that says "Rep" on the upper right hand corner of a post?

Well, before you use that, read this.

I'm not sure what you mean by "metal wire thingy". A photo would help.

If you want to remove the ASA adapter with the press-fit mesh hose and run something else into the tombstone, you can. However, the press-fit hose will not come out of the ASA adapter, being press-fit and all. You will need a new ASA-1/8 adapter to run whatever you want into the tombstone.

Upon taking the tombstone itself out, just remember, washer first - then o-ring, the tombstone will hold it all together.

I dislike most, if not all, "milsim" stocks. I find they are heavy and unwieldy to use with a mask, collapsible or not. As a result, I tend to use either good ol' fashioned "T" or "L" stocks, or the SpecOps dogleg.

Your mileage may vary.

It is likely that a shroud will not interfere with a folding stock. However, that would depend on the shroud in question.

Not especially.

Re: Just a few questions...

1) you can take the gas line out of the tombstone but you'll have to put the ASA adapter in it's place for your remote.

2) every folding stock I have used will not interfere with your markers body shroud... typically they are dut out on the cyclne side to make room for the cyclone pieces & the stock doesn't touch the actual marker when folded... like a 1/2 inch off to the side.

After reading your post I wouldn't listen to "this lady at the store" anymore... she doesn't seem to know much about the A5.

Re: Just a few questions...

As for number 4 question about the metal thingy.
I think you mean the gas line.
Well you can connect your remote directly into the marker if that is what you want. That is what I had with my A5.

I did not have the ASA under the trigger handle.
A little bit like this picture
