Man...that washer, then O-ring, then tombstone bit is a real life saver! I just got my A-5 yesterday and polished the internals today. When that stuff falls out of your valve assembly it's a great little bit of knowledge!

wow great information.

does anyone have a diagram that shows what exactly everyting is you guys are refering to alot of parts that alot of newbies dont know the names of. i think that would help alot.

also a lubing section would be good too.... like where to lube and where not to lube (along with the diagram cuz wth is a sear? haha)

Man oh man. The new comers at my field is gonna love the stuff I'm going to post up for all to learn. I've been spending too much time helping others and not enough paintballin'. I agree with Berserker, you're definitely an asset to the forum.

Re: The Tippmann A-5 For Dummies + Some General Paintball Info

very nice!! thanks for all the info. I have a Lighting Rod in my cyclone its made of anodized aluminum and is way stronger than the stock plastic one. no flexing under stress such as rapid fire! If you going to do the RT mod do the whole vortex mod aswell!

Just a warning to those who have squishy paddles. I have found mine have stretched in the center hole. so they are no longer keyed to the shaft!! they are now useless!! a serious design flaw!! they should of being molded with a metal insert to prevent this!! So if you start chopping for no reason... check that the paddles are still keyed to the shaft!
