Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

Hey guys. I'm new to paintball, and the forum, so I wasn't 100% sure where to put this. I want to get the Palmers Stabilizer (male type) but I am planning on putting this ST relocator on my gun (Bad Boyz Toyz) to help balance the feel a little bit. Has anyone done this? How does it feel? Is the Stab in any danger of breaking if I slide or dive? Is there a better way to put a stabilizer on but not switch to a remote tank?

Thanks for the help. Sorry for all the Qs.

Re: Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

I really can't tell you if it will break or not but I am curious to where you're mounting the stabilizer. I'm assuming since you're worried if it will break that you're mounting it to the bottom of the drop forward so why not get a female stabilizer so you can screw your tank into it directly?

If you did want to stick with the male stabilizer you could screw it vertically into your asa and then run a line from the stabilizer to some kind of on/off switch mounted to the bottom of your drop forward.

Re: Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

You could use a female stabilizer and mount it to that drop forward.

Re: Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

I was going to mount the stabilizer where the air line comes out of the gun like the males normally are. I kinda like the way you described though. What would I need to do that? What would the stabilizer mount to?

I was planning on mounting it where the stock airline leaves the gun. I kinda like your idea of mounting the stab to the drop forward. What other parts would I need?

Re: Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

Well the first option if you choose to mount it vertically would be something like this with the male stabilizer.

Then run the airline to something like this that's mounted to the drop forward.

The other option is getting something like this with the female stabilizer, though you'd have to figure something else out with the mounting kit.

Re: Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

I think I could do the female stabilizer setup, as long as the relocator had provision for the universal mount block. Guess I'll have to call and check.

Thanks for the help guys!

Re: Palmers Stabilizer with Drop Forward?

Run a remote. life is better with one.

I run a remote to a 9oz tank and stick it in my pocket. Is that lame?
