great post. by all means please use a little sense that goes double for outlaw players. as with my team we play of outlaw woods ball. we have a set group. plus of walk . we hand out a set of and at every game to new players. which include ... mask on at all times in the play area. on . plus barrel condom. no plugs. plugs are . it may be outlaw. but you do it our way or you find another place to play

People look at me like I'm an idiot when I point out that there barrel condems arn't on. I think they were designed for a reason. Besides, if your barrel condem isn't on, it's not you who's getting shot in the eye, it's me! No-one wants to loose an eye, except maybee a pirate.

I also want to add to rule number 1:
If you don't know what condition your weapon is in then check it.
I don't care if you checked it 5 minutes ago, check it again!
If you just picked up your weapon after walking away for a minute to grab a soda or water from the cooler, CHECK YOUR WEAPON!!!
You don't know what happened in that minute!

I have a question if anyone knows the field I play at does not allow plpugs, they say it is possible for the plug to be launched and hurt someone, it seems reasonable to me but I have never tried to experiment as I'd prefer not to have to clean out my marker. If this is true it would make sense that almost everyone would adopt the barrrel cover (of course i have seen barrel cover just loosely placed over a barrel and not secured which defeated the purpose). Anyway I have always wondered this as different fields allow different things.
BTW - I plan to request my field to add a few of these to their safety briefing.

I propose barrel condoms for that reason mainly.
I prefer to use plugs though.
At the field I use, I usually use a plug but they accept either
