Arrow DeeLux's Compact Heavy Gunner (CHG-A5)

I know I teased when I posted this in the A5 Marker Only thread,
but I finally made some time to make a thread about my baby.

The main reason for the update is because my last mod project the MP5-A5
ended up lasting a good 2 years before my sliding stock cracked in half.

Quote:
Here's what she did look like (pre-June 2004):

Both the sliding stock, handguard and Clip w/Palmer Stabilizer inside were chopped and modded from an airsoft gun to fit my A5.
(my first venture into the modding world)

So after realizing that a major rehab was in order the Compact Heavy Gunner project was born (or at least visualized in my head) .
While every other modder was creating the M249 SAW for their A5's (which I would have loved to make), it really didn't fit my pocket book.
So I looked into alternative yet just as cool modifications.

So incorporating not only my idea's but other modders projects around the net, I visualized how I wanted my A5 look look.
Big props go to SEAL6Operator for the first Box Magazine style mod I've ever seen (first found it on the Opsgear forums).
But I wanted to take his idea a step further and move the Magazine closer to the trigger frame and eliminate the gas line.
I also wanted to incorporate the Palmer Stabilizer in the Box Mag as I did with my old MP5 clip mod.
I wanted the Palmers Stabilizer and airline hidden inside the Box Mag with a remote fitting placed towards the bottom to connect to the remote coil.

Here a list of the Components I used to make the CHG-A5:
Tippmann A5 paintball marker
Tippmann A5 Flatline Barrel
Custom Flatline Barrel shroud
Palmers Stabilizer (Male)
M16 Box Magazine (First Factory)
Mako Rifle Tactical Front Folding Grip
Striker Rail from UMS (Underground Mod Shop)
A5 Tactical Stock
A5 custom grips (from UMS & Specops forum member "Airhog")
M4 stock cheekrest
SWAT-Force Tac Light
X7 Hopper (not shown)

Here's a look at the CHG-A5

location of the remote fitting

Re: DeeLux's Compact Heavy Gunner (CHG-A5)

Here some info on the Box Magazine:

I took the Dremel to the metal piece (M16 clip) that connects to the Box so that the Palmers Stabalizer would side inside (with the Tombstone adapter). The slots allow for the Palmer to slide inside (and out for cleaing) with the airfittings attached.

Using the dremel to the box portion I took out various pieces to allow space for the steal braided hose and Stabilizer to fit inside.

Here's how it looks when the cover is replaced

I also shaved off the front lip of my A5 (personal preference)

Here's what she looks like in action:

MC, I ordered it from an online airsoft retailer that I don't recommend buying from (during the process my CC # was stolen and many things were bought)

Just do a search on a M16 Box Magazine (the company is called First Factory)
