this might help you. i posted a few pictures in that thread to help. the mask in the pictures was an old JT Alpha i think. i've also put them in a JT Spectra, a couple Profiler's, and an X-ray Echo. they work GREAT! the only difference now is that i don't use zip ties, i use a super duper epoxy and i cut away the parts right under the fans for better flow. sometimes putting a little tape around the fan acts as a shroud to help air flow. i wear glasses and sweat. i don't think i could play and have a good time without my fans.

Re: Mask Fans: Are they worth it?

Blitz,

here is the link that I used to do mine. Fan(s) mod for V-Force profiler Insted of using two fans I used only one. I ended up mounting the 9V on the outside of my mask underneath the goggle strap. I'll try to get pics up today time permitting.

Note this type of fan is power biased i.e. if you hook up the power incorrectly you blow the fan motor. At least it was for me, and I had a second fan to work with. Since the fan is a 5v fan I used a resistor inline with the positive lead to drop the 9v to 5v. Hope this helps.

Nice post thanks. I just bought the 9v connectors. I have 10 extras if anyone is doing this.
