Re: Should I paint my mask?

What would you say if I told you that you could have your mask multicam'd in the matter of an hour? Same with the marker. You can send me the pieces you want done and I can make it happen.

I've slowly become a fan of the multicam myself. Your set-up is just about perfect.

Re: Should I paint my mask?

Thanks, nchittendon. Looks like the consensus is for me to leave my mask alone! However, I do like those coatings that you were showing us on your other thread. Can't wait for you to have the pictures of the Multicam coatings.

We actually have a promoter that makes the paint stick. I have taken a pb in the face mask, and no cracking or peeling. I have also taken the mask and rolled it up, twisted it, squeezed it, etc. It's actually pretty cool. When we were practicing the procedure, we actually did 20oz pop bottles. The only way we could get the paint to crack was by playing "high point." haha It would only crack on the "point" when we hit it.

I will get you some pics and I'll let you see more about it. Don't mean to jack your thread.

Re: Should I paint my mask?

I'm tempted to make a good fitting multicam fabric mask cover, with vents...

Re: Should I paint my mask?

I think you have found enough answers to your original question....honestly if you want to do anything with it I would go with a cloth of some sort to cover it up. I just spent ten bucks at Wal-mart for several different colors of cloth and am going to weave it through the vents in front to try and break up those dark lines....aside from that your better off pouring money into your marker to help it blend into what you already have...I'd hate to be your opponent cause I would never find you!

Re: Should I paint my mask?

Multicam paint job on a mask?

Seriously, I would not paint that mask. It already looks great with Multicam and since that is the case I would leave it alone. Now if it was black, or some other bright color (as in speedball colors) I would say to paint it. I don't regret painting mine, and the others I have done turned out very well. How well a soft mask holds up over time however can be debated. I have a HARD mask and it looks as good today as it did the day I painted it.

Re: Should I paint my mask?

I did multicam on my mask. I have an 8 hour game this weekend, and the Giant Game in Hudson next weekend. I'll let you know how it holds up. Since I am my company's guinea pig, I told him I didn't mind sticking my face in front of a paintball to see if the paint would take the impact! haha
