Should I paint my mask?

Guys, I'm conflicted. I don't know whether to paint my OD/Tan VForce Grill...

The dilemma is mainly aesthetically-driven. If I did paint it, I would really take my time having the layers dry and would also use plastic primer, so it's not that at all. I kind of like it unpainted as a point of contrast between the TRUs and vest. I mean, the boots aren't Multicam and my gloves aren't in Multicam.

But I also like the idea of breaking up the hard lines of the mask. Having it fade into the background, being more camouflage.

So I'm really on the fence about this, and I sincerely wanted your opinion. Thanks guys!

-Deac

Re: Should I paint my mask?

I personally would not do it. I've always thought that particular mask was the perfect accent to Multicam just as it is.

Re: Should I paint my mask?

i say no. if you send it to dbug, i think it will look cool if it were airbrushed to match your clothing, but that mask color looks perfect as is.

Re: Should I paint my mask?

Hey Deacon,

I just finished painting my JT mask and I am getting mixed reviews on it.
Search for "Weathered JT Goggle"

I went for sort of a battle worn look. Maybe a little much. Personally I think the Vforce looks good the way it is.

My mask only came in grey and black so it didn't really match my acu's.

I have just never had any luck with paint really bonding well with the type of plastic masks are made of.

Re: Should I paint my mask?

Yes, because if it doest come out as good looking as it is now, you can always go get another one. That and it might be worth the risk for the reward, it could come out looking better then it does now, altho thats hard to conceive.
