MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

Simple ... it covers everything!
and just like its "paintball-mask cousin" we'd still get shot at our necks hehe
Anyway, I just wanted to hear what you guys think!

Re: MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

Pretty cool but I think I'd worry about people shooting at me from downhill. I'd at least wear some paintball grade goggles with that set up.

Re: MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

Surely you jest. Anything but a paintball-rated, fully-sealed set of goggles around the eyes is not only extremely dangerous, but equally stupid. And I can't see a mask fitting under that thing...

hehe i dont jest but Im glad Andrew has a better way of explaining why not =)
How about explaining why it can not be used before you shoot an idea down.

For instance ..
Yes ... it may be bulky but it still protects what it should and more
No ... because there might be people shooting from downhill ...

Re: MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

The reason I don't think it would be passable is that there is a possibility that if you get shot from locations at 5 & 7 oclock, the splatter and debris from the paintball breaking on the rear edge of the faceguard could riccochet into your eye. You would need some way of sealing off your eyes from the large gap at the bottom of the mask.

Re: MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

how come a mask like this doesn't exist, in paintball: nice vision, less risk of fog, and maximum confort??

Actually, there's probably more chance of this type of thing fogging up because when you exhale it's going straight out onto the big lens. That'll fog it up quicker than normal goggles, which have foam around the eyes giving maximum protection against that.

Re: MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

well actually, the gas cartridge, will prevent fogging...i don't think a military grade gas mask, will fog if you think that the life of the soldier is at risk if it fogs...

Re: MICH + Riot Shield = Paintball Ready?

If you were to use this with the goggle portion of a standard mask, great - would even look pretty bad ass. But if you mean by itself, without anything undernear ? cmon, dont be crazy man.. thats dangerous.
