Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

I did a search for this already & didn't find anything so I apologize if this has been covered.

I'm interested in some yellow or amber lenses for my E-vents & was wondering if the bright yellow of the lenses draw attention to you easier?

I mean they are bright yellow after all.

Or does looking into the mask darken them since there's a face behind it?

if it does draw attention easier would a pair of lens covers allow you to get that "pop out" effect people claim the yellow lenses give you?

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

Yellow tint does tend to give clarity while looking through, like those "Blue Blocker" shades that you can only "BUY ON TV" (sold at every Rite-Aide) but they would tend to reflect more and since yellow in not that natural of a color(except during fall) it would give you less camoflauge. Just IMHO! I use a smoke tinted lens and switch to a clear lens for dimly lit games.

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

The yellow will mute based on your surroundings, and give you better visibility due to filtering glare and enhancing colors, thats why cable and phone installers use yellow glasses when working with 50 conductor wires, to aid in distinguishing the color codes to differentiate the wires

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

Yellow is good for daylight and night games. You can still see a shine off of the lense, but it actually camoflages you more. The reason I say this is that it tones down the white on your face. After a few minutes your eyes will get used to the yellow and you won't even know it's there.

A teamate of mine uses amber and swears by them. During the day he is able to see other players with better clarity although he says he is better off removing them at night.

As usual if you're getting a new lense, keep them religiously clean.

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

cool... in the event I slap on some goggle lenses to help in concealment would it still give me the better visibility due to the glare & enhanced colors or would it interfere?

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

I'm guessing you're talking about goggle skins?

I've used those and they perform almost like having a smoke lense....as in it reduces visibility just that much (not much at all). The weird thing is you're staring at a bunch of dots and just have to get used to it.

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

ok so the slight reduction in visibility will screw with the benefiets of the yellow lens?

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

ANY type of skin will reduce visibility somewhat, over time you get used to it, but think of skins like wearing sunglasses, it will reduce what you see, and put a "shade" on everything, as your eyes are combining the image of open holes with the dark negative space between holes

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

ah, so my master plan of high visability combined with concealment is a flawed theory?

Re: Do yellow/amber lenses draw attention?

Yup, It becomes a serious preference issue. The skins limit the visibility greatly.

Not to change the subject, but you could do the outside with plastic safe anti glare and then camo your face on the inside. I've seen that before....
