Moisture inside thermal lenses

So after yesterday's game, while cleaning the lenses of my old JT mask I got water inside the thermal lenses.

What's the safest or better way to get water or moisture out of thermal lenses, my old JT mask lenses might need some change after being very scratched anyway. I know getting water in the thermal lenses can be a killer sometimes, but I own a new Flex 8 Full coverage mask and in case that happens in the future I want to be able to save the lenses.

Re: Moisture inside thermal lenses

One of your lens is cracked and allowing moister to enter. Mine is too.. You'll have to replace the entire goggle (lens) system.

If you read the instructions you get when you buy your mask the manufacture recommends replacing the lens once per year.
You should also do a visual inspection of your lens prior to use, look for deep scratches, hair-line cracks, dents or malformed surface(s).

Re: Moisture inside thermal lenses

If you get moisture in between the layers the only thing you can do is buy a new lense. It sucks, but lenses should be replaced every year at the least so it's not a huge deal.

Re: Moisture inside thermal lenses

actually the lenses of my old JT are in pretty good condition, I've had the mask for over a year but most of the time has been sitting idly, since 90% of the time when I needed a mask was because I was reffing and I had to use their masks, and I would even use the ref mask to play since I was too lazy to get mine out. But yesterday I completely forgot that those were double lenses and I hosed it down then I saw the water inside lenses. I might just take the thin inner lenses out and make it single lens hehe.

Re: Moisture inside thermal lenses

i have had this happen to me due to spraying it down with a garden hose at the end of the day my lense is not cracked but the water pressure forces the water inbetwean the foam that they use to attach the 2 together, just simply let it sit in the sun for a day or two then take a blow dryer to it dont let it get to hot because you can damage it but this works for me

Re: Moisture inside thermal lenses

I did the exact same thing that everyone else just did with the garden house. I bit the bullet and purchased a new lens. Lucky I was going through Sports Authority one day and they had bunch of JT lenses on clearance.
