Grrr Vforce lense removal

Alright, so I have a Profiler with a smoke lense in right now and I wanted to change it out with the amber one I have. The only problem is I have no idea how to take out the smoke lense. I tried looking for a way to do it, and I keep reading that people say all you have to do is pop out a tab and the lense comes right out, but I don't know what tab. Well I'm pretty sure I know tabs to pop out, but those things aren't coming out. Can anyone help me with this, and some pictures would really be helpful. Thanks y'all.

Re: Vforce lense removal

Re: Vforce lense removal

Yeah see I saw those instuctions, and it doesn't work like that on mine for some reason. I push and push on the fastening clip, and it doesn't move at all. I bought the thing used, and it looks like the strap has been jerry rigged through a cut in the side of the mask. I don't know.

Re: Vforce lense removal

Ahh, do you have the instruction manual? The lens just has a click tab on each side. Just remove the tabs by the goggle strap and take the lens out.

Re: Vforce lense removal

on the top and bottom of each tab there are extensions that come out when you pull, i don't know what else to say unless you have a messed up mask maybe... you sure its a vforce?

Re: Vforce lense removal

Alright well I decided to stop messing around and I broke out the screwdriver. Apparently I have to take off some other part in order to get my lense out. I took them off both side and my lense almost fell out. Crazy. When all else fails, break something I guess...but the beauty of it is it's not broken. Good stuff.

Re: Vforce lense removal

Huh, that's weird cause they are the easiest lenses to take out. 30 seconds and you have the new one in.

Re: Vforce lense removal

Gah, wish I had seen this earlier.

First step (ought to be in the instructions but is not), unclip the strap from the front of the mask. The clips are accessable from just inside the lense area. Pull the strap back and it is all too easy from there.

Slight pull up on the middle tab holding the lense in and push to the rear. Viola! (Pinch the middle tab.....ie Index finger to pull up the tab and then push from behind this tab with the thumb.)

When I got my Profiler I was less than impressed with the lense removal. Heard about how easy it was etc etc and I was stuck for like an hour before I figured this out. At the price of it I was less than enthused to try and force it...

Re: Vforce lense removal

Another reason I favor the Morph. I pull the tabs under the lens edge out, then unclip the lens. I can literally change a lens in under 30 seconds. They advertise something like 10 seconds, but I'd like to see anyone in the real word pull that off.
