Re: anyone wear army helmet?

I have a Flex 8 full coverage but some of the guys I play with do wear the milsim replica style helmets...but most of the helmets I have seen out there are to protec "skater" style for that Delta look I suppose.

Whether they are cool or not I think depends on 2 things...the A-typical way people dress for walkon games at your homefield and your current level of self-consciousness (or usually both).

I typically do not bring or wear all of my equipment during walkon games but I would wear some sort of head protection regardless.

Re: anyone wear army helmet?

Looks great Ronin!

And Dirty...you just have to be comfortable with what you bring to games. I tend not to use my full kit for walkon games because I seem to never need all of that stuff for the 30 minute rounds...Usually my vest with 3 pods (hopper full), and maybe elbow and knee pads for the fast breaks thru the brush (my body is old!). I save the 6+ full pods, radio/throat mic, camelback full of water, smoke, paint granades, drop pouch etc, etc, for scenario/big games...I would suggest a helmet, but the style will be up to you

Re: anyone wear army helmet?

I had worn a military helmet back in the day when we only worn shop type goggles, but nowadays with the full goggle systems, I keep the helmet on the table as a conversation piece...

Re: anyone wear army helmet?

yeah i think i'll do the same, i might buy one just to have around to have to look at and stuff like that maybe take a few cool urban style pics but thats about it... i think it would bounce around and push your mask down on your face, get hot and be a big target.

It wouldn't be so bad if you got one of these plastic helmets instead... Just as hot maybe, but a LOT lighter!
