Re: ACI F4 paintball gun

You are correct The maverick/ Hornet/ an Traccer all have Trracer barrel threads. I wonder why ACI went with so many different barrel threads for their markers?

Re: ACI F4 paintball gun

Right Gun arrived and was promptly disassembled into all it component bits. It appears to have has some use but not alot most of the o rings were sweet. It was really dirty with years old paint stuck in all sorts of places. Washed down with soap and on old tooth brush and she came up looking good.

Reassembled her tonight and there is a little leak in the asa that goes away with a tweak of the bottle. But there is a problem she shoots badly. When the ball leaves the barrel she drops fast like downward 30 or 40 degrees and within 20 feet the paintball hits the ground ? Why would this be happening?

? Velocity too high
? Barrel stuffed looks straight and is shiny and clean

Advice

Thanks

KIWI

Re: ACI F4 paintball gun

Check barrel again. Slight deviaton from the midline can cause issues. I had an all american that was ever so slightly off and caused a lot of issues.

Pull out the bolt and see if you can look down the body and barrel through the back end for a straight line.

Does this occur repetitively or only a couple of shots?

Did you get oil in the barrel?

Re: ACI F4 paintball gun

Took the bolt out and had a look and it seems straight
I have cleaned the barrel and gun with kerosene and still same results.

Could it be anything to do with the ball retaining spring the cover is on correctly
