Does anyone know what the lightest, lowest pressure, co2 compatible marker is these days?

CO2 and low pressure? Other than a Blazer or a cocker tuned for it - you're pretty much out of options. If you double regulate AKA electro's they can run on CO2 as well.

Why the LP requirement with CO2?

Smart Parts markers take either (as long as the CO2 is anti-syphoned) and can work off as low as ~180psi. Any (safe those mentioned by VVulfe) high-end marker takes HPA only.

Well yeah, but Shocker SFT/NXTs are junk . I've never seen more problems and flaws with a marker than a Shocker. I'd take my ION or even a Vibe/SP-1 over a Shocker ANY day.

Well smart parts pioneered the lp CO2 based electro's with the original shocker and impulse so you may be out of luck with that mindset. I've seen hundreds of shockers perform great on a daily basis.

Woah, hold on now. I didn't say anything about the old shoebox Shocker, nor the Impulse. Those things were beasts on the field in their day and nothing short of revolutionary. Unfortunately (and I'll add the "in my opinion" disclaimer here), the SFT/NXT pale in comparison.

For one, the SFTs/NXTs have the worst stock boards that I have seen to date. Among other things, the lack of ANY FSDO protection is unacceptable in a "high-end" marker. Have you not seen a Shocker owner head out on the field at the beginning of a game only to get the infamous Shocker FSDO and pump two balls through the breech and into the barell off the break?

They also have a reputation of having HORRIBLE air efficiency, usually grouped in with the worst among markers. The regulator is subpar.

And finally, as with most Smart Parts markers, you need to put more money into them to get them to preform on par with other markers in their price range.

Again, in my opinion, for the price, they are not even close to being worth it. Would I recommend a Shocker NXT for $200-300? Maybe. $700? Definately not. I mean, c'mon, the PMR preforms better.

I dunno if they're any good by today's standards.. and well, good luck finding one pretty much anywhere.. but PGI Mayhems run off of CO2 pretty well and operate at about 80-95 PSI give or take a few cents.
