Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

i have seen the rail eppy and the mni in actiona and i have asked about them . they all are great markers . if i had a choice i would go withh the rail i like the looks of it the most .
like otheres have stated the mini is too new and i never buy 1st year production of anything .
although it would have been my 1 st choice.
one guy i spoke to said he got 14 140 pods out of a 68/4500 tank with mino mods .

Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

If you're narrowing it down to those 4 then I would go for the Rail. The mini is too small and unbalanced for me (6'2'', 190/long arms). The Epiphany is a metal Ion with a little better dump chamber adjustment. The DP Fusion seems to have a good following though I don't know about their reliability since they are a new company.

However, if you're keeping your eyes open for other markers I strongly recommend the 06 Interceptor if you are going for new (which I'm assuming you are). They are getting rid of all their old stock and these guns are really in a higher league than the other ones you've listed as far as I'm concerned. Here's a link: http://www.alienpb.com/pages/products.html . If you are looking for a used gun in that price range your options open quite a bit. I personally would go for an AKA Viking because they are reliable, super efficient, fast, and overall the best bang for the buck in terms of speedball guns. I feel like I keep preaching this point (as seen in other threads) but you can't go wrong with an AKA Viking or an Alien Interceptor.

Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

I would reccomend the PMR, reason being you can add an UL frame to it, new trigger, endcap, feedneck etc...

The MINI is a waste of money. They designed the gun purposely to be the smallest gun out there. Because of that they made a modified grip frame that only accepts there grips when they are available. Their Boards are known to give and the regs, when broken have no repair parts.

But even though that is there it is still a small gun.

I think you're thinking of the first generation ones. They had multiple problems that have been figured out by now. I know 2 people that use them and absolutely love them, plus MCarter Brown had a VERY good first impression when testing his. I still don't like it because of the balance/size but all the bugs have been worked out and overall I think it has great quality and is definitely up there in bang for the buck as well.

Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

The rail, fusion, or mini would all more than likely make you happy.

The rail has a huge aftermarket and is essentially ready to rock out of the box, but the plastic trigger frame is a turn off for some.

The mini initially had alot of problems, but now the board, blowback, and bolt wear issues have been solved and they are compact, fast, and well made little guns.

The fusion is surprisingly awesome IMO. The quality is extremely good, it is efficient and you can remove the entire ram assembly for maintenance with a simple quarter turn of the backcap.

Honestly try to shoot all three markers and see which is more comfortable for you as they are all going to perform at a pretty similar level.

Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

I voted Fusion. It's not nearly as well known as the other three, but I'm assuming we can all rule out the Epiphany (Ion with a metal body).

Minis are hard to maintain unless you really, REALLY know what you're doing. If something major breaks... I've shot a Fusion and a Mini, and the Fusion was definitely more satisfying to shoot. It felt just like an Ego or a DM, just really high quality. Definitely able to go right out of the box.

Don't know much about Rails.

They're a very small company that make quality markers. In my opinion the Alien Interceptor beats out all of the other markers you have listed. They've been around for longer than the Mini, Rail, and the Fusion and have shown that they truly are underestimated. I highly recommend it far above the ones you have listed. Do a little research, there's tons of info on them. I've even posted a few times on here and rated both the Alien and the Viking for another person who was looking into a new gun.

Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

I like the alien a lot more than the viking, but I'm still leaning towards my other choices. The alien 06 has me hooked though. I might take aa mini out beacuse-
:they are the first model
:harder to fix
:maybe to small for me? I have long arms.:P

I might also remove the PMR because I just can't see myself firing that marker. Plainly, I don't like it.

SO MY CHOICES ARE NARROWED DOWN TO ALIEN 06 AND DP FUSION.

Re: Proto Rail vs Invert Mini vs DP Fusion vs Epiphany

I voted PMR because mainly that is what I own. I remember when I was asking this same question to myself. First off, no to epiphany. Mainly because I hate Fart Parts. Second, the mini. At the time, they were still having the board problems so that turned me off. Never tried the DP. The PMR shoots godly and is very easy to maintain. Just keep an o-ring kit with you at all times. After putting a UL frame on it, I was in love. I think the PMR is a great marker for the price.
