A hell of a guy indeed, no I didn't end up joining the Navy. SOF was a back door for me, I finally got accepted for the Army which I had originally intended joining so I could fly. I worked with him from summer of 2006 until February of 2007. Ask him if the guy from Oscoda(Class of '06 I can't recall his name) made it through BUD's. I cut my run time a lot working with him... Ended up finishing my Army AIT running a mid 10 minute two mile.

Word of suggestion, kinda an a-hole thing to say to a guy you don't really know... but if you're serious about this... ditch the girl. She won't last through Basic/BUD's/Jump School/SERE School/Tech school. You have 3 years of training ahead of you and she's not going to see you. Better to get the broken heart crap over when you're home and then go into this stuff with just you and your battle's.

Good luck bro.

Re: Seal Pst

@Ghost: I'll ask him about Mr. Oscoda when I see him next. About the GF... I appreciate the advice, and if I were younger and in my previous repationship, I'd definately heed that. However, this currect GF I've had around for about 2 years, and there's no end in sight. She's the one, and will stick around for me. I'm not coming fresh out of highschool or anything, either, incase any of you were wondering. I'm 23 right now, and finishing up an associates degree. This isn't a highschool 'oh I'll love you forever... untill I go to college and meet those other guys/girls' type of deal

@zulu: I actually finished watching both of those right before I checked this thread again Thanks though!

Re: Seal Pst

I know. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, that run. I collapsed at the end, and when Mr. Krause told me I made it, I was out of my mind with happiness. I couldn't believe it.

Re: Seal Pst

Way to go Sk8er

I know they help guys meet those times sometimes. What did they have you do in PT to get you up to pass the 1.5 mile run time?

Also (Although I'm pretty sure I might know) did you have to physically run, or jog and run to meet the run time? (I'm guessing it was a dead run all the way).

Re: Seal Pst

Well, right now, cause ALOT of my time is tied up with class and work, I haven't been able to go to any PT with Mr. Kruase. I should be starting that up soon though cause work is going to be changing (possibly quitting cause it sucks...). I've just been hitting the track and getting myself more used to running. I'm in awesome shape (not to brag) but I've never been good at, or experienced, with running. The more I practice it, even though I know I'm not getting that much stronger or in better CV health, I get better at the technique, which is something I completely lacked the first time through the PST, which can account from my 51 second drop in one week. As I get better and more comfortable with running, I'll be dropping even more, I'm sure.

To make that time, I RAN. My throat was dryer that an 80 year old nun, every part of me was cramping up, and I thought I was going to die, but I ran and ran and somehow, by the grace of whoever up there loves me, I made it.
