Plastic, you say? Sounds like someone took out the insoles already. While I was in the Canadian miltiary for a very brief time they had us wearing one pair of the sweat-wicking socks with a wool pair over those (I was allowed to keep all the socks after I quit). Works well, although I am just using them with my steel work boots right now. I plan on getting my parents to buy me a good ($300) pair of combats for my birthday in a few months.

| Re: Feet! One thing not mentioned here is Foot powder! i have been using Dr. Sholes or however you spell it for 7 years now and love how it helps keep my feet dry and prevent added friction, when used in conjuncture with the above mentioned suggestions ![]()

| Re: Feet! The boots I wear are general issue Australian Army combat boots. Redback Terra's. The sizing system is different to anything else I've ever seen. It's called "mondopoint" sizing. You take the length measurement, and then the width measurement and whichever size is closest to your measurements, that's the shoe for you.And because they're Army issue boots, they have many different sizes and shapes of feet to accomodate. They're so comfortable and fit like no other boot I've ever worn.

| Re: Feet! Well, probably...its not plastic...its like leather.....I could just wear my work boots, but they are a tad heavy for running at high speed....So ill get some setters or insoles.....then take pics of the setters if i get any...... James

Foot powder has been mentioned many times. And Jam, you could jsut go to some sort of work clothing supply store and buy some good insoles to put in there so they don't bother your feet. Heh, I remember that when I was havign my feet sized for my combat boots, I was right to the very end of the scale for length, and it took them like 20 minutes in their warehouse to find my size.
