Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

these are BRAND new, not even being distributed yet, which is a stinker because theres no good review for them yet :-/

what i don't like is that there's no pictures of the full barrel, just the carbon front halves, makes me a bit leary not seeing the aluminium/control bore section.

Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

howdy ,it seems to me that the .692 is really big. especially, since paint is getting smaller by the day. if its cheap enough, i might give it a try. but , i wouldn't put to much into a bore , that big.

Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

Uhh, nice looking.

One thing with .692 you can use any paint you wont with the big bore barrel. I'd much rather have too big then too small.

Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

Agreed, but .692 is on the bigger end of the spectrum. They should at least offer 2 sizes, maybe smaller and larger to accommodate a wider range of paint. If your bore is too large, excess air is being vented around the paint as it exits. So it's not as efficient and can affect accuracy.

Nice looking barrels tho, and the price is reasonable.

Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

Nice idea, though...but that bore size is huge..almost like a TAC-8...

Has anyone asked if they are considering sizer backs or different specific bore sizings?

Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

Don't forget, anyone can add the python kit almost any barrel for almost any marker and turn their favorite single piece barrel into a kit.

Re: Stinger carbon fiber barrels

True that, Mills - but what would that do to acuracy/efficiency if (for example) a ball went through a .683 sizer adapter and then passed through a .693 barrel on the way out?

I'm just wondering..

But good catch on the Python kits - I had forgotten about those...
