Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

I use Stingers in my .690 brass all the time, and they always fit perfectly. Most charts I've seen list Stingers as .689-.691, perfect for a .690 brass barrel.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

I still say, its bad paint. Don't write something off with limited use. I prefer my brass to every kit available and I've shot just about all of them. Try some new paint out. also remember, while its starting to warm up, in alot of areas its still border line temps for paint. I've seen alot of posts about paint breaking in barrels, but guess what...its been winter for the last 4 months

You guys who live in the south, consider yourself lucky.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

I like my brass (so-so) thus far.
I have the plain 12" un-ported .690.
First time I used it was at a 24hr game, so I didn't really get time to pay close attention to how tight my groups where.

I still think I want the kit FONZ has tho.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

OK quick update. I took apart the mighty A-5 today to clean and oil it. I noticed this pink stuff inside my cyclone, as well as on the bolt: Thats right! I chopped a ball. I don't know how early in the day this might have happened. I am going to be testing the gun and brass barrel again in the near future. I am really hoping for the brass barrel hype to be true. Will post with updates.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

My brass has very good groupings and accuracy. It would still be beneficial if you use a brand of paint thats around the same size though. Try using bigger paint.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

So i guess they sent me the .690 bore since i did not specify which one i wanted. Not that i've had a problem with it, but i guess it could be a little more accurate and thats because of the bore size. I put a ball inside and it slides right through the barrel. So i guess im screwed for not knowing.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

You'll always do better if you match your paint to your barrel. Here's a chart that I've found to be very helpful.
