Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

The problem with this is that i dont buy the most expensive paint and also the store i buy from or most of the ones i have visited they do not carry other than maybe 2 different boxes of paint. Mostly in the range of 40 dollars a box or lower. So its hard to match paint unless i buy them online.

As soon as i can i'll get me another Brass and make sure is a .685.

I know many of those paints have changed since then. It seems all the ones I have used before were off. I think paintballs are getting smaller then they used to be

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

I have the 12" double ported .685 Palmers on my A-5 and it has consistently outperformed any other barrel I've tried; to include most of the kits. I have never shot a paint through the barrel that didn't shoot perfectly. You may also want to adjust the speed on your gun (be sure to Chrono it) because that can also cause inaccuracy. I'd almost bet that the broken ball is your problem. I've not used Palmer long, but I've used lots of other barrels of my own and tried friends barrels on my gun and the Palmers is by far superior.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

Ive got a 14" brass single port .685, now thats alot of barrel to tear a ball on, and knock on wood I break 0-5 balls a case. Somtimes its the barrel, somtimes its simply chopped in the cyclone.

These barrels are awsome, even if your balls are sliding through very easy im sure yull still have great shot to shot consistancy. My barrel can hang with pretty large paint, so im sure that undersized paint shouldent be an issue.

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

Ohh no im not complaining about mine. Is definetly great but i have a friend who has a 98 and he plays along side with me and when we shoot a bottle or whatever his shots are all right there compared to mine. I have the brass with apex and he has a jj with apex.

So after reading this, i can see that probably the little accuracy im missing is because of the bore size.

Thats why i'll buy another one soon and i'll make sure is .685

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

Me and my friend we both bought 12" .690 bore PPS Brass barrels. None of us noticed any improvements in accuracy. And on top of it my Brass broke in very first day of use. Barrel fell out of threaded adapter (returned it to PPS for refund). My friend still using his Brass hoping for better accuracy. I switched back to my old 12" J&J Ceramic and it's way more accurate then my friends Brass

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

Semi Update:

I went paintballing today hoping that with some better paint and my HPA tank working* I would see good results.

I went to walmart (only place open at 830 to buy paint) and bought some recon camo paint. I opened and inspected the balls this time. I couldnt find any dimples or flat spots.

*first HPA fill of the day and my fill nipple breaks releasing out all the air. This is the third time this has happened. The paintball shop Nuemax keeps fixing it, but during game day it breaks. (something with the internals of the fill nipple) I'm about to demand my money back.

SO...on goes the Co2 tank...sigh.

I fired a few test shots and hit pretty much everything i was aiming for. So far so good.

Gametime. Most shots seemed to be decently accurate. Definitley better then the time before when i had the chopped ball. I could notice that with any rapid fire, my shots would lose some distance because of the C02.

I will update again once I get my HPA working!!

Re: Just got Palmers Brass but not very accurate

Hey guys I bought a Palmers brass barrel recently. The specs on it are .690 bore, 12 inches, single venting, matte black. I used it for the first time today at my first scenario game at Sherwood Forest called Risk and I thought the barrel was pretty amazing. I only had one ball break the entire time and I went through probably a case and a half of paint. All of my shots were in my opinion extremely accurate and I never saw any balls veer left or right. I can't remember what paint I was using so I definitely will post on here again when I figure out what I did. Not sure if this makes a difference but I used my crossfire HPA tank and my a5 also has a palmers male stabilizer and a jcs rva. With how great my barrel performed I'm probably going to use it as my main barrel and I would definitely recommend it to others as well. I'm sorry to hear you guys aren't have the same luck I am. Oh btw it was also probably high 50s to low 60s at the game I played at.
