Thumbs down I know you don't want to hear this: What Bore Size should I get?

I'm sorry to all that are probably cussing me out for making another thread about bore size. But, the truth is, I searched, found information, and still cannot come to a conclusion if .685 or .690 would be better. I was originally set on .690 for 2 reasons:

1. It received an overwhelming majority in a poll between the two that I came across before.
2. All the paint sizes listed on various sources point to most paints being in the .690 range.

I want to experience the accuracy that the Palmer's Brass gives but I do not know which would be better. I am afraid I will come across loose paintballs with the .690 so I am wondering what a .685 will do to accuracy and other traits if you are using a larger paintball than the bore size? Will a squished paintball still be more accurate than a loose one because it cannot bounce around at all?

P.S. If nobody wants to respond to this thread I understand

Re: I know you don't want to hear this: What Bore Size should I get?

Well it all depends on the paint you use. I have a brass .690 which i bought that bore size by mistake.

I also just got a JJ Edge Elit Kit and the paint i currently use is between .683 and .685.

All depends on what paint will you be using. .690 bore is a very big bore size so the paint will go through it very easily. I would suggest if you use rather small paint like me to buy a .685 which will give you better accuracy due to the paint to barrel match.

Most paints come .68 in the box and than it ranges from there anywhere between .682 and .693 or so. Yet i have not seen anything above what im using, thats just my case.

Figure out for yourself what paint size your using and than go for what you think will be best for you. Remember with a .690 basically anything will go through it since is huge, not .685 but will give you more paint to barrel match if you use smaller paint like in my case.

I just bought the .685 bore for my Blazer. Most paint is smaller bore but if you come accross some field paint that is larger then get a back up barrel like the J&J ceramic .689. You can find these around the bst sections for around $25.

I second Rifle, get your self a good .685 and then pick up a cheep back up of .689 or .690 for the warm humid days that make the balls swell or you come across some big balls.

Re: I know you don't want to hear this: What Bore Size should I get?

I am using Stingers and Visible Impact at the moment and when putting them through the stock barrel, they get slightly stuck like they should and blow out very easily. It seems to be the perfect size. Someone mentioned before that the stock barrel was like .689 when they measured it with calipers. But, I do not have a pair to verify it. What would happen if you went ahead and used a .685 with large paintballs? Would you get a lot of breaks?

Either breaks or the ball would get stuck in the barrel.

So by everyone's brass experience, would you say Stingers and Visible Impacts (Relatively cheap paint) would be large or smaller?

Find the answer to your question here.

Use the size chart to compare ball sizes . . . (i'm sorry, I hope that was PG13)

This is the most up to date sizing info I could find.
