Hi, I just bought a M-16 barrel for my Tippmann A-5 and when i put it on it doesn't line up. Does anyone know how to line it up straight?

I think you'd better post up some pics to show us what exactly you mean. Do you mean that it doesn't "lock in" when you twist it to the centered position, or that it's lop sided, or that it doesn't sit straight in the adapter.

I know this doesn't apply to your problem but it's customary:-

"Washer first, then o-ring, tombstone holds them in place"

Don't worry. You'll soon understand.

Pics would be a tremendous help in diagnosing the issue.

In the meantime, could the problem be one of these issues:

*The barrel is not threaded correcting into the adapter.

*The barrel adapter is not securely inserted into the A-5 body.

*There is a barrel shroud (triangular M-16A1 style), and that needs to be adjusted. Look for set screws in the front and back rings.

Is it upside down? If its upside down, just take out the barrel adapter and rotate it 180* and insert back in.

Like said before, the barrel adapter may not be in the proper position.

Someone has issues with the m16 barrel on here and found the set screw on the bottom of the front sight. Except his issue could have easily been solved by the first recommendation i posted.

thanks guys but i took it to the store and the adapter was in wrong and they just flipped it for me. Thanks alot anyway though.
