| Re: Rain-X in your barrel? i think that it would work to an extent.. as long as the paint is water soluable. i think most is?.. but really.. i think that there wil be some left over residue unless you use a squegee...IMHO

| Re: Rain-X in your barrel? isuggest you dont as it tends to be sticky after a while. It does not give you a smooth surface! However, for those who do try,l do let us know your results. Remember to use the squeegy to apply. The cotton types!! Have fun guys! |

| Re: Rain-X in your barrel? Rain-X is a silicone based product, it's tiny little silicone molecules will penetrate the microscopic pores in the barrel and will NEVER come out. Whether thats good or bad i couldnt say. But it's the rain-X's alcohol additive that will gum up the gelatin in the case of a break. Like anything, its worth investigating, i would just use a cheap barrel for testing since it will never be the same. |

| Re: Rain-X in your barrel? I use it in my JCS 5.5 barrel and have had descent results. The barrel wasnt a great one to start out with (kinda rough inside compared to my lapcos) but since I added the rainx it has shot smoother and cleans much easier. Worked good for me, but thats just my opinion |

| Re: Rain-X in your barrel? I would think it would be almost the same thing as having a break in the barrel maybe causing the balls to stray off a little. Paint is pretty slick when it breaks in your barrel as well. Just my 2 cents.
