| Re: your favorite barrel kit... Are you asking for a single barrel that fits more than one thread pattern? I don't think such a thing exists. I can only repeat my other two suggestions: Get a Freak or Scepter kit with a back in each threading, or get your kit in 'Cocker threads and buy a 'Cocker barrel collar for you A-5. EDIT: I just checked, it's the Powerlyte Scepter I've been mentioning. Jin is a big fan of it, you might want to ask him.

| Re: your favorite barrel kit... Barrel adapters and A-5 barrel collars aren't the same thing. Most markers have the threads milled into the body or main frame. An adapter in this case acts as a coupling between the marker and barrel and creates that over-bored section. However the A-5 threadings are milled into an interchangeable collar instead of the main body. Instead of coupling between two threads, you're simply changing the threads on the marker. It may not perform as well as with a barrel it was designed for, but it will be better than an adapter.

| Re: your favorite barrel kit... right now its between the freak and sceptre, but i don't think that there is an A5 threaded sceptre kit. thanks Jaron! EDIT (can't give you rep, sorry! )PS, is the stainless steel inserts better than the colorful ones? thanks. |

| Re: your favorite barrel kit... Lots of people complain about the aluminum inserts, saying they're too flimsy. Yes, auminum is not as tough as SS, but as long as you're not careless with them and keep them in the case you shouldn't have any problems.

| Re: your favorite barrel kit... Empire Revolver Barrel Kit | Paintball Review | pbreview.com Basically its the old Scepter kit, just bought by Empire. And the case and stuff it comes with is awesome! Cocker threaded, Ion, Spyder. And you can choose lengths of the end 12-14-16" end tips. I fired the old Scepter kits before and i think they work great, just never tracked one down, and was just recently told they make them under the Empire brand (yeah I been under a rock). So i just picked a set up ![]()
