Re: Opsgear barrels

I have a 12 inch and have shot a 10 inch and 16 inch barrel. They seem to be pretty accurate. I believe they have it milled such that the barrel carries the ball the entire way until it exits. (If that info makes a difference)

Re: Opsgear barrels

holy....! I hadn't checked the price in a while...I would say yes on the 6" fluted, and the M4 options.

You're getting into a price range that will get you a much, much better barrel (see Hammerhead, or most carbon options). It would be better to drop or save and drop an additional 30-40 for a kit in the long run.

If you really like one of these try ebay or another supplier of opsgear barrels.

Oh yeah, they are very durable, you won't be able to wear it out. The finish on the inside is crystal.

Re: Opsgear barrels

Just to let you know; None of OPSGEAR's barrels are ported, so they are going to be really loud. Sound doesn't matter to some people, but I thought I should put this out to you in case it does.

I would personally go with a Lapco Bigshot if you don't care about noise, and you'll save some money as well. Lapco barrels have a mirror like bore and are very accurate. I have also had experience with it, whereas I haven't had experience with the OPSGEAR barrels.

Re: Opsgear barrels

i have an 18 inch fluted and that thing is awesome! i shoot about 5 feet short of a flatline, very good accuracy, they are very heavy duty, there are threads that give you 10 percent off a purchase so you can save some money, but i do agree they are a bit expensive!

I was just going to post the same thing. I got in a conversation with a few old school paintballers last night that had several years of experience. They swore by this barrel if you can find it...

Re: Opsgear barrels

I used to have one of the Tippmann A5 Fluted SNIPER Paintball Barrel - M82A1 (18 inch)... I liked the performance of it & I was using cheapo paintballs in it.
