Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

For those unfamiliar, The Flatline and APEX will have the distance. They can break paint on a person farther out than HH and other barrels maximum effective ranges. Not a lot farther, maybe 20-40 feet. Accuracy is a whole n'other thing . The really big deal about Flatlines and APEX is the ability to eliminate ball drop over useable ranges. The backspin lifts the ball just enough so the paint describes a straight line. A well tuned Flatline with very consistant air delivery and just the right paint is very hard to beat. But hard to achieve too.

The HH is accurate right out of the box, match the paint to the fin and off you go. So this new HH/Tippmann barrel may be something to try for those in the market.

APEX on a Hammerhead? Not sure that would work.

Ordering - ask Sideshow, he seems to have the inside track. Something about huge backorder too.

Would really like one. So Sideshow...what's the deal on your back order? Any word from Tipp?

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

Dont put an APEX on a hammerhead/straightline type barrel. They use different of ball spin. Apex causes back spin while the hammer head type causes a spiral/twisting spin.

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

Anyone know the outside diameter on these barrels? Was wondering if it will fit my Tacamo HK416 shroud.

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

Have many people used one yet? There seems to be a lot of discussion of how good they will be but not enough proof that they work as advertised.

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

Here is my take on the Hammerhead barrel.

ALL CUSTOM GUNS from ENGLER PAINTBALL WILL NOW SHIP WITH A HAMMERHEAD BARREL.

They are the best barrel in the industry and we must have the best for our markers.

You may see us modify them for looks but the accuracy will still be the same.

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

most of the time I size bigger. Test your paint before you play..

Paint is getting smaller all the time so I ship with .690s but .688s might do you better...
