I hope the thread has not progressed too far to throw this in, but it does deal with HH barrels in any case. Corrupted355 and myself preformed a side-by-side comparison awhile back. I'll let you draw your own conclusions with regard to relative value, but the results were interesting.

In this we compared the HH kit to the palmers brass, we were careful to eliminate as many extraneous variables as possible. We utilized the .686 Fin as it had the best match to the marbs we were using.
hammerhead vs. brass

This was a preliminary test comparing several barrels, although there are a few extra variables in this that may have had an effect.

Hello there, fellow countryman.

The current word out on some places is around RM300. I've no idea if that's accurate or not.

Flawed. What type of paint (NEVERMIND- SEE MARBS USED at least in the first test), how fresh was it, where'd you get em from, how far did they have to travel to get there, what was the dia of the paint, etc. etc. etc. Also, you used co2, horribly inconsistant, and did you let the bottle adjust back to room temp before each barrel, and did you have a diff tank, or made sure it was full for each barrel, you cannot "match" up the j&j you used (if you wanted to- j&j edge-)... I could go on and on, but being from an engineering background, the amount of questions I could pose would be quite staggering. Please, do not take this as bashing, as I love reading reviews and tests, and some of the results were definitely interesting. Also, this is why I typically don't do detailed tests, because I'd lose what hair I have left working out every possible flaw in testing, spending way too much money to do so, and who knows how many days. when all along I get paid to do this sort of thing through my employer. (ftw, I work for woodward governor doing flow testing, and benchmarking for the fuel governing systems for most all jet engines, as well as hydraulic boosters/regulators and pneumatic actuation systems)

on a side note, just took the j&j ceramic out, and shot off 20 rounds at a 5 gal. bucket at 125 feet (no wind, and measured distance). I hit it 14 of 20 using no vice, and nelson ekg paint. I've never used the s2, but going on this alone, I'd say the ceramic and the s2 are way different? There's no way a stock is better than the j&j, I just threw that on, and only hit the thing 6 times.... hmmmm, now your test is gonna drive me nuts!!! lol ugh, well be looking for a detailed test soon enough, cuz this is gonna bug the crap out of me, i can already tell.

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

The Unrealist: Hmm RM300 huh? Sounds like a good price but some of my friends tells me its RM500. I don't know yet. I've yet to get confirmation but thank you for your estimate.

sphinxster: Most of the equipments are sold first in the USA and a huge majoirty of eBay items are always flying to USA. HAhaha ah well, my time will come.

Oh yeah guys, I heard that the Hamerhead/StraightLine type of barrel(spiral wind force) is got in terms of accuracy but they lack the range? As in a pretty huge margine. What say you?

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

Im not sure about this barrel. like how does it respond to co2 and hp. and what velocities does it need to be within. I have a flatline and the only thing I dont like about the spinning affect is the tendancie to spin of a shoulder or an angle instead of popping.

Lebih kurang lah...

The whole debate about rifling has been extensively covered...and all we've come up with is that Hammerheads are great shooters. Whether or not the rifling helps is another matter.

I don't think it does anything for distance. That depends only on your muzzle velocity and any backspin from flatline/apex.

Re: New Tippmann/Hammerhead Barrel

I wonder how easy it would be to put an apex on this.
