| How to install freak inserts with Deadlywind barrel? I feel really dumb asking this question... I picked up a deadlywind fibur barrel and a a full set of Freak inserts for my A5 (newish cyclone feed). I'm not sure how it all fits together. The insert only seems to go in about a half-inch into the receiver and it only seems to slide into the barrel about the same. Can anyone tell me how this is supposed to work?? |

| Re: How to install freak inserts with Deadlywind barrel? You just slide the insert into the barrel and screw it on to your marker. I have this barrel and absolutely love it. But I don't think the deadly wind come with a a5 thread. Unless you have a thread converter to cocker or something of that nature. |

| Re: How to install freak inserts with Deadlywind barrel? It doesn't have an adapter on it does it? My freak jr. is actually autococker threads but, it did have a screw on adapter for A-5 threads. To change the inserts you have to take the adapter off.

Yep, you nailed it. I was being too gentle. The DeadlyWind barrel is so light it's hard not to be delicate with it ![]() |

| Re: How to install freak inserts with Deadlywind barrel? The O-ring just inside the end of the barrel is dry and needs a bit of lube. I put a dab of hater sauce on the outside of the freak insert and worked it in there. All the inserts now go in/out easily. If you just force it in there, you'll just struggle getting it back out. Since we're on the topic of freak inserts. What's the best way to size them to paint? Quote:
