I would be careful of doing that, since it will make you have to get the whole setup perfectly on the barrel adapter, and you may not want to do that.

I will let you know

Re: Building a Shroud over the Apex

Hey that's cool man. Do you have any updated pics we can get a peek at? Here's my BT-47. Nothing complex, but added some tac rails and a foregrip, laser and an ACT-1000 cam for some combat footage.

Re: Building a Shroud over the Apex

will update mine with pic soon. Have completed the first phase of building the shroud to fit on the 12"JJ with Apex. Yet to order some rails in for laser, tourch and foregrip attacments! I had kinda build something for the APEX slider! Lost it in the game i had a night back! kinda got a way to make the slider attachment using plexi glass or acrylic. Shape it into a "n"! Shall get more materials and make one!

Updates coming up soon!

Re: Building a Shroud over the Apex

I am planning on attempting to get my Apex tip inside my Lapco fake suppressor. The outter diameter of both are almost identicle so my plan is to sand / file down the od of the Apex so that it will slide snug into the suppressor. Anyone know of any reason not to attempt this?

The front tip of the suppressor will extend slightly past the opening of the Apex and is almost the same size opening as the Apex. Might that cause me problems with paintballs coming into contact with the suppressor as they leave the Apex? I could just reverse the suppressor if that is the case and have the front, more enclosed end in the rear and the full opening at the front.

Tired, so sorry if this doesnt make sense.

You should be totally fine for sanding the Apex tip, provided you dont take off too much. If your only going to sand off enough that it fits perfectly (ie very small amount) thhen go for the gusto. Unless your suppressor is super de duper nifty, and causes your apex to shoot almost straight up, you should be fine (and if you do have super de duper nifty shroud, I will want to buy it from you), the apex wont alter your path of travel that much, but that depedns on if we are talking aobut an eighth inch of supressor past the tip or like 5 inches. 5 inches might equal paintball death, but small amounts wont be a problem.

Re: Building a Shroud over the Apex

I have seen Flatline Shrouds used often for an Apex.
