| Re: Apex untwists barrel No. You're only loosening the screws half a turn so that the end of the Apex isn't clamping down so hard on the barrel adapter. Adding a little marker oil to the groove that the Apex slots into will help also by lessening the friction between the barrel adapter and the Apex itself. I did this to mine and heven't seen any ill effects on my aim.

| Re: Apex untwists barrel HeDsHoTz has the right idea, just loosen the two screws on the back. Don't loosen it so mush that it will wobble all over the place, but enough that it will spin. Oiling the o-rings should also help, and of course you can always rotate it the other direction. ![]()

| Re: Apex untwists barrel I loosened them 1/2 turn and it was too loose, so I tightened it up again and it seems to be turning fine. I guess I tightened up too much initially. I really wish they were allen screws instead. I hate these phillips heads. Now that I've fired it, this thing is awesome! What a great buy! Unfortunately, its still not good enough to use my red dot, so looks like I need to keep working on my adjustable angled riser rail idea. |
