New J&J Edge Elite?

Does anyone know if there's any performance difference with the new edge elite? I notice the old one had a tapered front, and the new one is straight and can accept flatline. The porting is different too, so if anybody has any info please share.

I want to buy this kit but most of the pics I see on the online stores is for the old version.

Re: New J&J Edge Elite?

I just checked the J&J site and I don't see any new fronts or new kits. Please post a link to show what you're talking about.

Re: New J&J Edge Elite?

From my understanding the new kit was only designed in order to accept the apex adaptor that J&J offers. The performance should be the same, and I actually like the look of the new kit better. Hustlepaintball.com shows the old pic but if you order the kit, it comes with the one kit designed to hold the apex adaptor. Their pic is outdated.

Yes I've seen that thread about hustlepaintball, I guess I'll call them first before I order just to double check. I like the look of the new one as well and I notice the porting is spiraled as well.

Re: New J&J Edge Elite?

Those are definitly new fronts. I just got a used kit and the fronts are flared. I really need a new front so I can use my Apex!

Re: New J&J Edge Elite?

I think the best way to get the Apex on the front of this barrel would be to get the Apex adapter from J&J direct. I tried to do the Apex Tape Adapter mod, and it didn't work as well as I'd hoped. The Apex barrel hole isn't quite big enough to accomodate the J&J's new fronts. If you force it on there it will go on, but you run the risk of stripping the screw holes with the extra tension on the screws.

Re: New J&J Edge Elite?

I did contact J&J about the new fronts and an Apex so hopefully they will answer me tomorrow. I have the J&J tip on my ceramic and it's solid, the screws for the tip even fit into the porting lines so it won't even move at all.
