i recently purchased an apex tip and went to install it on my stock barrel just to test it out, just then i decided to use F-4 tape. F-4 tape is an anti-chaf wrap used on aircraft wire harnesses, plumbing ect. anyways it is rubbery and does not stick to anything but itself so you have no sticky residue when you remove it or it it gets wet. when i remove my tip i leave the tape on there cause it doesnt wear down. you can use it over and over. if you want to remove it you just graze a knife or razor on it and it tears away. also, to make it thinner, you just wrap it tighter. if anyone is interested in some i would mail it out to you. i have about 3 ft of black left and 15 ft of orange. it takes about 3"-4" of tape to do one mod.
