Re: how to test?

Set up targets at different heights and distances? Observe you barrel's performance during game time.

I'd start out with 25 feet, 50 feet & 75 feet. You can do 100, and 150 feet as well, but you probably won't be very accurate at such long distances.

I'd set up a 8"-10"(usual size of a mask) target for 25' & 50' and shoot 10 shots at each distance. Try using a 12"-14"(human chest) target for 75', 100', & 150'.

Acceptable accuracy would be something close to these numbers:
25' = 3"-5" group
50' = 5"-7" group
75' = 7"-10" group
100' = 12"-18" group
150' = 24"-26" group

Re: how to test?

40 feet, then 50, then 75 and beyond at different intervals. You can add a sixty in there, too.

*Edit* Wow, I would go with what KRA said.

Re: how to test?

If you want to test it out very well, in addition to what KRA said, find a way to stabilize your gun, like with a gun stand. If the gun is solid, you can eliminate the human error added to your groupings.
