0.69 or 0.685

I think I'm probily going to order a palmers barrel, eventualy I want one of each bore size. I generaly just shoot the cheapest paint the field sells and I go to more then just one field. I'm thinking of starting with the larger boar because I know it will most likely break less paint but will probabily not be as acurate as the 0.685" when I run acrosed a smaller ball.

I'm woundering what your preferences/recomendations are and if you agree with my logic. Still considering a freek back but I hate the way they look.

Re: 0.69 or 0.685

On a tippmann, your detent will keep your smaller paint in the breech and not rolling down the barrel. however, small paint in a large barrel equals poorer efficiency if that matters a whole lot to you.

I would recommend the .690 if you use mostly cheaper paints. If you shoot higher grade paint it will be smaller and .685 would be more desired for more the efficiency factor.

ya, that's what I was thinking, some times it's just nice to hear it from someone else. So which do you shoot?

Re: 0.69 or 0.685

Both

Lately, the .685 because I have been using more tournament grade paint, or at least smaller bore paint. When I use cheaper paint, I tend to put the .690 back on.

Re: 0.69 or 0.685

I'm assuming that you would highly recomend these barrels, or have you encountered problems with them?

Re: 0.69 or 0.685

Not a single problem that is far outweighed but its almost flawless performance for me.

I have been shooting Brass for 2+ years now almost exclusively. Brass has made me sell several barrel kits along the way too.

Probably the only negative mark is that it does not self clean very well. But when Brass is proven to reduce breaks, you don't face this issue often.
