Just a quick question. Is there any reason why you should not use the stainless steel inserts with a Freak aluminum back? Should you only use the stainless steel back with the stainless steel inserts?

nope they are interchangeable.
no reason to not use it.

The inserts actually sit in o-rings inside the back. So it's not actually metal on metal.

Oh...didn't know about the o-rings! Is that why people complain about the inserts sticking?

Probably. That's why I put a little grease on them to help the inserts slide in easier. The grease doesn't affect the ball because its on the outside of the insert.
