| Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel after the flatline has been in, do you find the original barrel adaptor is a bit lose unless you wind on the screws? i noticed this when i tried my apex (the standard one).

| Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel Yes, the barrel adaptor is a bit loose, but i'm not sure that're the problem. I don't quite understand why the BT M16 APEX barrel only screws in about 1.5 times, whereas with the stock barrel, i remember is used to require about 5 turns, maybe more. EDIT: Oh, i've noticed the little pull-back thing. Something's happening... EDIT2: Right, now I think it's screwed in completely, but the sight post is still pacing 8 o'clock. I only had 3 hours sleep last night, so i'm lacking problem-solving skills at the moment. I still need a hand with this. Last edited by derf : 01-12-2007 at 10:09 AM. |

| Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel Oh my days, this is turning into a nightmare. Now i've noticed that the front sight post is wobbling freely left and right 5mm either side. Considering the front sight post has a sling attachment, the entire barrel now seems completely unusable. Code red. Well, i'm completely stumped. I could use a big hand here people. | Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel the sight should on the bottom have an allen key they you can loosen to adjust it. also you have to remove the m16 hand guard to access the allen key at the base of the barrel to adjust that as well. then you can turn both and align to where u want them. then just tighten them down. mine was the same way after adjusting them and tightening them it hasn't moved since. edit: i don't think u need to adjust the m16 handguard to adjust the sight. i did just so it was lined up with the sight Last edited by Bobby_Mac : 01-12-2007 at 11:35 AM. |

| Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel Same as Bobby mac. Take the shroud off and there is a allen screw that you can loosen and adjust the adjust the shroud. There is also one up front to adjust the sight under the sling swivel. |

Thanks Bobby, now I have a starting point. What size are these allen key screws? In the UK all we mostly have is metric sizes, so none of my tools fit into that imperial size. |

| Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel Quote:
Those keys did not fit. I had go and spend 75 pence on a set of "use-once-quality" imperial keys. The sizes that worked (but were by no means flush) were 7/32" for the front sight post, and 3/16" for the the barrel adjustment. Problem solved. |

| Re: BT M16 APEX Barrel I used this for the first time on Saturday, and frankly, It performed far worse than I could've expected. I was using dodgy paint and didnt chrono my marker (yes, I went to a cowbow site) all day, but I don't know how much it effects the performance. The APEX didn't seem to add anything. Even of maximum, all that happened was that the paint just shot straight down unto the floor due to the pad being lowered. Chops happened all the time. When it was working, it was far too innaccurate for me to even bother attacking most targets, even running HPA with Palmers Stab. I'm getting rid of it because I want something more reliable. |
