| Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass I say Palmer's and there really is nothing more to say. I do keep my 8" Lapco Bigshot around for backup.

| Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass Both appear to be some of the best barrel designs in the industry. I must say, I amazed at the hype on the brass. HH: Pros: bore control; reports little more accurate than brass; more resistant to paint scratch Cons: match paint; inconsistent paint size = breaks; riffled barrel could = breaks; high $ P-Brass: Pros: Consistent shot with any paint; prrreeetty shhiinnnyy brass; low $; Customer Service Cons: prrreeetty shhiinnnyy brass; maybe less accurate as HH Have I missed anything?

| Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass If the brass is considered less accurate then the HH must shoot as well as a real rifle . My brass shoots extremely tight groupings at a good distance, I am still in disbelief.

yes, i think you have... why is the HH acurate? because of great bore control, thats it. just like a lapco kit, the bore control on those systems is great. BUT its only as good as the paint you are using. crappy paint still preforms not as well as we would like. with the brass, paint becomes almost a non factor. if you have a prefect bag of paintball and matched them well to a bore, back or insert with any good barrel like the HH, you will have good results. but what happens when you can't control your paint? bad days happen to al lof us, they used to happen to me. i have not had a bad paint day in over a year and half and during that time, at least a half dozen times were "bad paint" days when i hears comments from alot of players and even those close to me. thats the real difference. are you tired of bad paint days? lets take the paint out of the equation for good...https://www.palmer-pursuit.com/ecom/index.php/cPath/60? |

| Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass Just how good is the Palmer Brass? It's soo good that even a Pygmy would use it as a blow gun....see signature below. ![]() All joking aside, I have seen the palmers brass in action. This person has had no breaks until we played in like 12 degreed weather....but that can't be helped.

I don't mind spendin little more on great paint, but weather sure can change that. The weather in Texas is telling me "brraaasss."

its true, good paint can make the difference. but you can't always control what your paint looks like, even if its good paint. i've paint 55 bucks for marbs that were fresh as can be and 95 for anothe RPS pruduct that was less than perfect. i've had the "best" rec paint and opend to find dimples and other not to great things. even though i paid for good paint, i'm not always gauranteed on its freshness and quality. i don't play on fields that allow me to bring my own paint. i am at the mercy of their paint. well, i used to. now, i just shoot whatever they give me and have fun doing it ![]() |
