Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass

Hey all, It's me again!

I'd just like to share a little story from last Sunday, to add to the HH testimony.

First game I played, as I moved up the field to a midfield bunker (it was a mini-city sort of thing with plywood buildings and such), I tripped a little and did a barrel plant into the ground. Seriously. There was about an inch and a half of Oklahoma dirt in my Hammerhead Dominator barrel, and all I could think was "crap, how the heck am I going to play NOW?!" So I did what I'm sure any of us would do. I shot once just for the heck of it. Lo and behold the barrel was clear!! I actually ended up making the winning elimination a few minutes later!

I've still not had a chance to use a Brass yet, and I'd really like to soon, but I definitely have to side on the HH after that little performance.

Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass

I just want to throw this out there since I've not heard anybody else say it:

The rifling in a Hammerhead does little if anything to help the flight of a paintball. The reason that Hammerheads drive such tacks is because they are simply damn well made. Hammerheads are manufactured in the same manner as real firearm barrels, and to the same quality. If you're leaning towards it because it just has rifling, know that rifling doesn't do much, if anything.

Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass

I have only heard about the HH...nothing on the PB...I guess I need to do some investigating to find out which one is better for my game.

Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass

Does the PPS brass fit Special Forces paint well? Does anybody have any first hand experience?

Re: Hammerhead or Palmer Brass

played today again for the 5th time with the palmers barrel. it sucked today, i got no breaks but balls did not travel very far with good accuracy/precision. it was as bad as a rental, seriously. i will probably go for a lapco barrel next. i was using draxxus recballs. im hoping it was just a fluke.
