Re: stiffi barrels

I just bought a 12" SpecOps (Stiffi) Blackcell C barrel and I'm very pleased with it. It's very light, a little quieter, and supposedly "self cleans" if a ball breaks. I've put almost two cases through mine with good accuracy and no ball breaks.

Re: stiffi barrels

I've had a St!ffi and was very pleased with it. It does help quiet the marker down, but when you're dealing with an A-5, it's like making a lion sound like a leopard. I'd be more interested in a C-Series to save some change and to get some extra tip protection.

Re: stiffi barrels

I had one of the older stiffi's for a long time. I really loved that barrel, it always turned heads at the fields.

It was a 14" .689 and it was just too long for my A-5. I got and 8" Empire kit that fits better, but it doesnt shoot as nice as that one Stiffi barrel did.

Go ahead and buy one, or better yet get a Stiff Kit.

Re: stiffi barrels

Mine has been very very good for my a-5 i got the .691 model and i have found its favorite paint is visible impact (from walmart yeah i know!) but other than that with decent paint ive never even broke a ball, but i broke some dimpled recons in my barrel at a game last week and my barrel would just not clean out , AT ALL i had to go and get hot water n pour it through every round, got me very POed but go and buy it, personally i recomand a palmers brass to save some $$$ but its all personal preferance.

Re: stiffi barrels

My St!ffi was generally pretty good at self cleaning. I sometimes broke paint and didn't notice so I didn't bother to squeegee it between rounds. You can get a little buildup that way that will take hot water to remove at the end of the day.
