| Re: apex www.undergroundmodshop.com is where u can get the Apex adapter sleeve for $14.99. and as far as i know, it should work just fine on the stock a5 barrel. the apex without the tip i believe is just under 8" and the stock a5 barrel is 8.5" so it would probly be a lil better. also i believe the bore on the apex is a tiny bit larger so the stock barrel might be a little more pickier on paint then the apex. good luck. chomelian out.

| Re: apex You can find an Apex for about any barrel on Ebay. You can also find them on other forums. It really does not matter what threads they are because you are just using the tip. The tip is the same no matter what the threads. Buy the cheapest Apex barrel that you can find and then get the adaptor. Take apart the tip and put it on any barrel you want. Just make sure that your adaptor will fit the barrel you are putting it on. |

| Re: apex The Stock barrel and the Apex stock barrel are pretty much about the same. I doubt you will see any difference at all. I would get the Adapter and toss it on that J&J quick, fast, and in a hurry.

| Re: apex I hear you. I cut my stock A5 barrel at the ports too. I was doing a short barrel but then I never used it. I started running just the barrel back from my Empire kit for a CQB barrel.

| Re: apex I saw somebody had cut down his stock barrel so short that when the Apex was attached, the Apex housing was only a couple of millimeters from the hand guard. Looked very interesting.
