Yes but I like the auto cleaning feature of the J&J... I ordered it today. Later I will probably get a dye ultralite, this summer or so... |

| Re: Please help with barrel choice In ref to the Palmers, I have never tried one. At least one thing is for sure, if it is from Palmers you can take it to the bank that it is a good quality piece of work.

| Re: Please help with barrel choice I think that you will not be disappointed with your choice. That is one advantage that the J&J has over the PPS brass. I have a J&J and a PPS brass. Both are 12". The main difference is that the J&J is ported and the PPS is not. Thus, the PPS some louder than the J&J. Performance wise, they are comparable. They both shoot decent groups and both will shoot just about any paint. The PPS may be a little more tolerable of cheap paint. On the other hand, the J&J has some limited self cleaning. You can dry fire a few times through a break and continue on shooting. The Palmer brass needs to be removed and cleaned before it regains its accuracy. Both are excellent barrels. If cost is a factor, then I would have to go J&J. Funny thing is that you seldom find a Palmer's brass for sale on Ebay. That alone speaks for the quality. |
